How to create a Facebook Business Manager account?

Step 1: Create your account:
Before creating an account, you need to decide who is going to be the Business Manager admin. The admin has access to all the personal business information such as the credit card, has control over all the facebook assets and can add or remove other admins or team members.
If you are the business owner, then it will be you. You can add another admin or change the business manager admin whenever you like.
- Go to business.facebook.com/create and click Create Account.
- Enter your name and confirm your identity with Facebook login credentials.
- Follow the prompts to create your business account.
Congrats, you created your Business Manager account, now it’s time to set it up. Go to your business settings.
In the business manager settings you can add and manage all your Facebook assets and assign permissions to the people working for you or with you.
Step 2: Add people and assign them assets to manage.
A. Invite your team members
Now it’s time to invite people inside your Facebook Business Manager, so they can manage your Facebook assets
- Click Users  / People and click Add People.
Before inviting your team member to your business manager, you need to decide what role you want to assign them. There are four roles to choose from:
Employee Access: (selected by default)
An employee can only work on accounts and tools you assigned to them.
Admin Access:
Admins have control over everything in the business manager.
These two additional roles are great for your accounting department, they can view the details of your Facebook expenses without touching your Facebook assets and ads.
Finance Analyst:
Analysts can view transactions, invoices, etc…
Finance Editor:
Has the ability to edit business card information and financial details.
Once you decide on the role you want to assign, just enter the email address of the person you want to invite and click send.
B. Assign Assets to your team members.
Once your team members accept your Facebook Business Manager invitations, you need to assign them with assets to manage.
First, select your team member. In our case, our person is called Test Setup, then click on “Assign Assets”. As you can see, you can assign the following assets:
- Facebook pages.
- Ad accounts.
- Catalogues. (product listing)
- Apps.
If you don’t have any of your assets available yet, it’s ok. You can assign them later.
Step 3: Add your Facebook assets
Now, it’s time to add your assets to the Facebook Business Manager, so you can assign them to your team members.
A. Facebook Page
Let’s start by adding your Facebook Page.
- Click Account to open up the submenu.
- Click Pages
- Click add
- Click add a page.
As you can see you have three options, you can either add your own page, request access to a page or create one. Unless you need to manage someone else Facebook page, you don’t need to worry about the second option.
Once your page is imported into Facebook Business Manager, you will be able to add people or partners to manage your page. You can either add people from this page or from the User menu, which we previously covered.
B. Ad Account
If you don’t know what an Ad account, it’s simply is your advertising account for your page. Each business page comes automatically with one ad account that you need to create. Once you start spending money on your account, you can create up to four more ad accounts. You can assign different people for each ad account and you can you can assign each ad account to different pages. Once you add your ad account inside the business manager, you won’t be able to take it out. If you already have an existing ad account, go ahead and add it to your business manager. If you don’t then just create a new one.
C. Instagram Accounts
If you have an Instagram account and would like to run some ads on it, you can connect it here. Simply enter your credentials and voila, your Instagram is now linked with your Facebook Business Manager.
Step 4: Data Sources
Under Data Source, you will find the famous Facebook Pixel. The pixel will help you track your website visitors actions. You can learn how to create and install your Facebook Pixel from our previous article.
Step 5: Payments
You need to set up a payment method before you can start running Facebook ads. Only the main admin is able to add the payment method, so go ahead and complete this last step and voila you are in business.
