It is important to complete your profile to increase your visibility. Use all the Twitter tools at your disposal. Follow these 6 easiest ways to improve your Twitter profile to gain more followers.
1.USERNAME: Keep It Short
When you create your account, make sure you pick a short and meaningful username. You want something short and easy to remember. Too many times I see long username that are hard or almost impossible to remember. Please do not use underscore ( _ ) to finish your username. @GuezMarketing_ Believe me no one notices it and it doesn’t look appealing. Most users don’t even notice it and if they do, they most likely won’t remember how to write your name.
2. PROFILE PIC & BANNER: Be Creative
For the profile pic, you should either use a picture of yourself or your company logo but keep in mind people tend to connect more with a headshot picture.
The banner is the first thing someone sees when they check out your profile. Your banner will have the biggest impact on your visitors; so make sure you change it to something original. It’s a great place to display some of your work , your portfolio or maybe your company slogan. Treat this space as if it was your business card. Make it memorable.
3. BIO: Keep It Nice & Sweet
For the bio, you are allowed 160 characters maximum, so make it count. You should write about who you are and what you do. Use one word keyword to describe yourself. This is the best way to maximize the space given.
Use popular hash tags from your industry to make sure you connect with people from your industry / interest. #marketing #socialmedia #designer #eventprofs. You get the point. List any other Twitter account you may have. A lot of people tend to follow accounts listed in the bio. It’s a quick way to gain followers organically for each account.
4. WEBSITE: Link your Page
Obviously list your website, blog, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.. Anything you want your followers to check out.
5. FOLLOW: Twitter Users in your Industry
One of the last steps to set up your account is to follow other Twitter accounts. A lot of people are unfamiliar with Twitter and don’t know who to follow, so let’s keep it simple for everyone to understand.
The people you should follow depends on what you intend to do with your account. With that said, follow people you love, company you like, user talking about your interest, etc.…
You can follow people in your industry, CEO, famous leaders, companies, newspaper, magazine, writers and bloggers you like. As you go along, you will discover more and more people you might want to follow. Find users who publish good content. It doesn’t matter if they have 100 followers or 10,000. If you like the content they publish, then just follow them.
6. PIN A TWEET: Sell Yourself
Twitter allows users to pin a personal tweet on top of your own feed. What does that mean??? It means when someone is checking your Twitter profile and is deciding whether or not to follow you, the first tweet they will see, will be your pinned tweet.
A lot of users use this feature as an extra tool to promote their eBook, blog, music, etc… The pinned tweet should be something personal and important to you. Your account theme should dictate what you should pin.
If you are still not sure what to pin, you can always use Twitter Analytics to figure out which of your tweet was the most responsive.
Its official your Twitter profile is set up like a pro.

Hi Pierre,

Good job with the Yoast plugin SEO is so important these days.
Keep making great stuff!
Thank you for the kind words, always appreciate it.
This short guide made a difference for me!! Thank you, bro!!!
I’m glad to hear it.
What hashtags would you suggest using if I had a new clothing brand and were looking for influencers?
Well you can always start with some general terms such as #Fashionblogger #StyleBlogger #BeautyBlogger but you should refine your terms to more specific items your clothing brand carry. Try to identify fashion blogger in your niche by either contacting them directly or looking at what kind of hashtags they use.
Enjoyed examining this, very good stuff, thanks .
I’m very happy to read this. This is the kind of manual that needs to be given and not the accidental misinformation that’s at the other blogs. Appreciate your sharing this greatest doc.
